Notes and Favorites
[center]Favorites[/center]
Like many forum sites you can track messages here by requesting a notification via email when there is a reply (when posting or editing this is a checkbox below the posting (typing) area), you can rely on the built in UPi2DB code to tell you when new or edited messages are available, and there is an addtional options, favorites.
When you open a message, in the upper right corner just below the Log Out option you will see an option to Add to Favorites. Clicking that text will cause the message to appear in your Favorite Topics, which you can access through the button at the top-center of the screen. The favorites list is a quick way to jump to your personal stories and hot topics, regardless of whether or not they have changed recently.
When you want to remove a thread from the favorites list, click "delete" on that page. You will not be deleting the post or thread itself, just removing the item from the favorites list.

Private Notes[/center]
The Notes button in the upper right corner will allow you to create private notes, similar to our normal forum posts, and store them indefinitely. It's a great way to start creating a story privately or some short reminders, even character information, although the full editing and posting abilities are not available. You won't have access to many buttons, controls, or extra features while creating such notes.
The Notes feature does actually support using bbcode to create bold, italics, and other effects, though you must enter the codes manually until we have buttons or shortcuts available. Smilies are also supported.
If you use the notes feature to actually store text that you later wish to transfer to a public post, you can create a new post and check near the bottom of the writing (posting) area for the import note feature. This selection box and button can be used to automatically insert the selected note into a "normal" post so that it can be displayed to the rest of the site. Normally at least some text must be present before the note will import, so you may have to type a word or two - after importing you will be shown a preview screen, and can scroll down to continue editing the post before submission.
