This welcome forum contains a number of messages intended to help you learn how to use the features of the site and see samples of the options available to you.

The first thing you should do as a new member, after having read the rules, is to read the Support FAQ (button on the upper left of your screen by Rules).  The Support FAQ will provide an overview of the site and how to use it.  From there you should check the various posts here in the Welcome forum, and once you're comfortable, checkout the other available forums.

Many forums have sample posts and guidelines available (especially the forums in the Multiple Author Open Category - most of our forums in the other categories have the same names and purposes).  Please check these announcement and sticky posts carefully prior to posting in the forum.  If you want to post in anyone else's story, first make sure you are posting in a Multiple Author forum, then check the first story post and the first commentary post to see what the lead authors rules are for joining.

If you would like to play around a bit and test your posting ability just add some new messages to the Member Test Forum in the General Category.  Once you feel comfortable using the software to post a basic message, please stop by the Chat forum and say hello.  We look forward to seeing your first story here!
